Job summary

CertainTeed, a Saint-Gobain company, is seeking a Process Engineer to refine and optimize manufacturing processes in our Roofing Plant. You will apply engineering principles, SPC, DOE, and Lean methods to reduce variation, improve yields, and enhance product quality across the operation.

The role emphasizes planning, scheduling, and cost control with responsibilities spanning project work, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to meet time targets and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering; PE is a plus.
• Six Sigma experience beneficial.
• 2–10 years design/engineering in manufacturing setting preferred.
• Ability to lead projects including coordinating contractors and trades.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data using SPC/DOE to reduce variation.
• Develop and optimize industrial processes from inception to startup.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality to implement CAPA.
• Improve product quality, reliability, and capacity while reducing costs.
• Plan and manage mechanical project work with schedules and teams.
• Troubleshoot operations and improve efficiency and safety.
• Document mechanical specs, drawings, and procedures.
• Apply Six Sigma tools and cost estimation for mechanical systems.
