Job summary

Nammo Defense Systems Inc. seeks a Process Engineer to oversee the manufacturing of composite propellant and propellant-loaded devices, ensuring compliance with engineering requirements.

You will collaborate with Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations, R&D, Quality, and Product Engineering to guarantee product success. The role emphasizes developing robust production processes, documenting BOMs and workflows, and applying DOE, FMEA, and PHA.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Preferred 3+ years’ experience with propellants, pyrotechnics and/or explosives in manufacturing.
• 5+ years’ experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering.
• Experience with composite propellant and propellant-loaded devices is preferred.
• Understanding energetic material regulations and safe handling/measurement.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to safely process propellants, pyrotechnics, and/or explosives for product development or improvement.
• Develop processes and techniques to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.
• Document and maintain process documentation (BOMs, Process Flows, Work Instructions).
• Utilize DOE, FMEA, and PHA in process development and risk assessment.
• Lead validation and evaluations for manufacturing equipment.
