Nammo Defense Systems Inc. in Arizona is seeking a Process Engineer to oversee the manufacturing process of composite propellant and propulsion-related devices.

You will determine steps to produce propellant and ensure engineering requirements are met, working with Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations, R&D, Quality and Product Engineering. The role requires applying engineering principles for safe processing of propellants and explosives, developing efficient manufacturing processes,

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience with propellants, pyrotechnics and/or explosives in manufacturing.
• 5+ years’ experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering.
• Knowledge of composite propellant production processes and propellant-loaded devices.
• Working knowledge of energetic material regulations and safe handling.
• Familiarity with cross-functional processes across PM, Supply Chain, Operations, R&D, QA.
• 3D modeling and 2D drafting experience; capable of stack-up analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ATF approval ability.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to safely process propellants and related materials.
• Develop processes to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.
• Document process documentation: BOMs, Process Flows, Work Instructions.
• Lead in DOE, FMEA, and PHA activities for risk reduction.
• Develop robust processes for failure analysis and continuous improvement.
• Lead projects and prepare technical documentation packages and validation data.
• Coordinate validation and equipment evaluations for manufacturing systems.
• Present progress to internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide training and support to technicians and operations teams.
• Estimate labor, equipment, and material needs for production work.
