Job summary

Thread-Craft-Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to translate customer requirements and engineering drawings into practical, repeatable manufacturing processes for precision components such as ball screws and related products used in aerospace and defense.

You will collaborate with engineering, production, quality, sales, and leadership to develop routings, create drawings, and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience in machining or precision manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret customer prints, drawings, tolerances and specs.
• Experience creating routings and production documentation is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP or manufacturing master data is helpful.
• Willingness to learn new products, processes, and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Review customer prints, drawings, specifications, tolerances, notes, and docs for manufacturability.
• Identify missing or conflicting requirements with internal teams.
• Evaluate part designs across milling, turning, grinding, thread grinding, mill-turn, CNC.
• Develop manufacturing processes and routings for production and inspection.
• Create and maintain part numbers, routings, and ERP data.
• Create process instructions and manufacturing drawings for production use.
• Provide technical support to engineering, production, quality, sales, leadership.
• Work with machinists and CNC programmers to address manufacturing challenges.
• Learn outside processing requirements like heat treatment, plating, coating, passivation.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on manufacturability, quality, lead time, throughput.
• Take ownership of assigned projects from review to release.
• Adapt to new technology, software, and ERP systems.
• Perform other engineering and manufacturing duties as assigned.
