Job summary

The AmeriLux Family of Companies is seeking a Process Engineer to support, optimize, and maintain extrusion processes in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. You will collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, materials management, and leadership to ensure efficient equipment operation and product quality while meeting safety and production goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or process-oriented environments.
• Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and adjust manufacturing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate records in production and inventory systems.
• Comfortable working on the production floor in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic computer skills and ERP/manufacturing management systems familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor extrusion machines and related equipment to support operations.
• Develop and optimize extrusion processes to improve productivity and material utilization.
• Troubleshoot process, equipment, and product issues and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with machine setup, changeovers, startup/shutdown procedures, and adjustments.
• Maintain machine specifications, setup sheets, and standard work instructions.
• Monitor process variables and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Support production planning, scheduling, and material availability to meet customer demand.
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Document process changes, trial results, downtime, and corrective actions.
