PLASKOLITE is seeking an Extrusion Process Engineer in Scranton, PA to manage safe, efficient extrusion operations and drive process improvements. You will work across Operations, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Safety and R & D to troubleshoot issues and implement lean initiatives.

The role requires a mid-level professional with strong data-driven problem solving, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering field.
• 4-6 years of professional experience in industrial process engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of Plaskolite’s polymerization manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for process deviations and quality nonconformances.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation for consistent production practices.
• Collaborate with R&D and Product Development teams to scale up new materials and products from trials to full scale production.
• Ensure adherence to environmental, health and safety standards in all process related activities.
• Develop and support capital projects by providing technical input on equipment selection, process design and system commissioning.
• Participate and/or lead cross functional teams to support manufacturing excellence and sustainability initiatives.
