Job summary

RINA is seeking a Process Engineer to join our Plant Engineering Division in the United States, with work locations in Houston, TX or Chicago/Lisle, IL. The role focuses on delivering process engineering for a major oil products storage terminal project, including calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and safety considerations.

The candidate will work under the Lead Process Engineer, coordinating with multiple disciplines to ensure design quality, safety, and adherence to project

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; bachelor’s degree considered with equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in Process Engineering, preferably in oil & gas, terminals, or energy infrastructure.
• PE license or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Experience with process simulations and hydraulic calculations.
• Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets and process philosophies.

Responsibilities

• Perform Process Engineering activities to project requirements and codes.
• Develop process calculations, documents and deliverables.
• Support design cases, operating scenarios and process requirements.
• Coordinate with Lead Process Engineer and multidisciplinary team.
• Provide process input to other disciplines and project functions.
• Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, calculations, and equipment datasheets.
• Support project execution, commissioning, and handover.
