Job summary

AWS/CES is seeking a Process Engineer for an industrial manufacturing client in Wallingford, CT. You will lead new product introductions (NPI), develop manufacturing processes, and drive continuous improvement to optimize production performance.

The role partners with Operations, Quality, and Plant Leadership to meet customer requirements, ensure compliance with ITAR/EAR, and promote safe, efficient processes.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of Process Engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Familiarity with NADCAP, AS9100 aerospace, or medical manufacturing quality systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead process development and support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept through production.
• Develop manufacturing processes, work instructions, training materials, and process documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to deliver surface enhancement solutions that meet quality, delivery, and performance expectations.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and throughput.
• Coordinate project plans, milestones, resources, and execution with Plant Leadership.
• Support quality initiatives by ensuring processes meet customer specifications and industry standards.
• Assist with production planning, process optimization, and critical spare parts programs.
• Promote a safe work environment while supporting company safety and quality objectives.
• Maintain compliance with ITAR/EAR regulations and customer cybersecurity requirements.
