Job summary

Greif is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing systems across our steel drum plants, focusing on process improvement, reliability, and cost reduction.

The role conducts trials, analyzes engineering processes, and identifies opportunities to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction. It involves leading small projects, training others, and collaborating across plant leadership, operations, maintenance, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Typically possesses 4+ years of relevant manufacturing or engineering experience, preferably in an industrial or process-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts trials, analyzes results, and makes recommendations related to engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Supports plant operations by identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality, safety, and consistency.
• Identifies issues with control strategies and recommends continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Performs calibration and validation testing on plant instrumentation and equipment.
• Investigates manufacturing issues and customer complaints, determines root cause, and implements corrective actions.
• Prepares and reviews monthly quality and production reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and lean manufacturing tools relevant to Greif’s operations.
