Job summary

Unilever is seeking a Process Engineer to design, optimize, and sustain manufacturing and utility processes across batches and utilities. You will lead end-to-end capital projects, drive process improvements, and collaborate with Operations, Quality, R&D, and Maintenance to ensure safe, efficient production.

The role requires 3–5+ years in chemical engineering, strong analytical capabilities, and experience with process control systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field.
• 3-5+ years in chemical engineering (chemical, oil & gas, or FMCG).
• Strong thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid flow knowledge.
• Experience in continuous and/or batch processing environments.
• Experience with process design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with process control systems and plant operations.
• Proven track record delivering process improvements and cost savings.
• Experience leading CapEx projects from concept through commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and sustain manufacturing and utility processes.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of capital and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze plant data to identify inefficiencies and loss drivers.
• Develop and size critical equipment and evaluate design alternatives.
• Lead RCA for process deviations and plant upsets.
• Drive yield improvement, waste reduction, and efficiency gains.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver sustainable improvements.
