Job summary

New York Technology Partners is seeking a Process Engineer to drive manufacturing improvements and technical projects in the Rochester area. This hands-on role focuses on solving production challenges, improving processes and guiding projects from concept through successful implementation.

You will evaluate needs, develop specs, support equipment upgrades and coordinate with internal teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Associate degree considered with strong relevant experience.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, process engineering, project engineering or related technical role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience supporting manufacturing processes, production systems, utilities or capital improvements.
• Familiarity with technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Experience in regulated or quality-focused manufacturing environment is helpful but not required.
• Previous involvement in installation, commissioning, testing or process startup is a plus.
• Candidates do not need to meet every preferred qualification; learning ability is valued.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing needs and propose practical engineering solutions.
• Develop project requirements, technical specifications and scopes of work.
• Support process improvements, facility upgrades and new equipment initiatives.
• Work with suppliers, contractors and engineering partners to evaluate technical solutions and obtain proposals.
• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, milestones and deliverables.
• Review designs and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Support equipment installation, testing, commissioning and production startup.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and process issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
• Coordinate project activities with Production, Quality, Maintenance and other internal teams.
• Support testing, documentation and approval activities associated with new or modified processes.
