Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5 years related experience.
• Understand customer and company specifications and procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Strong CAD and MS Office skills.
• Translate technical data for shop floor personnel.
• Able to handle abstract and concrete variables.

Responsibilities

• Consult with process engineer and chief manufacturing engineer on part quality.
• Assist with work instructions, quality plans and training documents.
• Consult with customer technical personnel on projects or concepts.
• Prepare cost analyses and forecast delivery times for quotations.
• Make decisions on new production quotes and product-line expansions.
• Improve throughput, margins and efficiency in manufacturing.
• Work with manufacturing, quality and engineering to reduce non-conforming material.
• Provide engineering input to departments and develop production processes.
• Authority to cease or allow production on parts not meeting specs.
• Participate in implementing processes, procedures and training.
