Job summary

H.B. Fuller is seeking a Process Engineer to drive safe, reliable, and efficient adhesive manufacturing processes. You will focus on FPY, reduce variation, scrap, and downtime while supporting quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Engineering to optimize processes, implement capital projects, and enhance performance across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• Experience with continuous improvement, Kaizen, Six Sigma, SPC, and Lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong problem solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Improve process safety, reliability, quality, and throughput.
• Lead root cause investigations and process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving methodologies.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, process controls, and manufacturing standards.
• Drive improvements in FPY, scrap reduction, cycle time, and equipment effectiveness.
• Support new product introductions, process scale-up, and manufacturing trials.
• Lead capital projects related to mixers, processing equipment, material handling, automation, utilities, and manufacturing capacity from scope development through startup and commissioning.
• Partner with Maintenance to improve preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability for mixers and critical process equipment.
• Analyze manufacturing data and implement sustainable solutions that improve performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
