Job summary

H.B. Fuller is seeking a Process Engineer to drive safe, reliable, and efficient adhesive manufacturing.

You will focus on improving FPY, reducing variation, scrap and downtime while supporting quality, productivity, and CI initiatives. You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain and Engineering to optimize processes, implement capital projects, and enhance manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• Experience with continuous improvement, Kaizen, Six Sigma, SPC, root cause analysis, and Lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Improve process safety, reliability, quality, and throughput.
• Lead root cause investigations and process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving methodologies.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, process controls, and manufacturing standards.
• Drive improvements in FPY, scrap reduction, cycle time, and equipment effectiveness.
• Support new product introductions, process scale-up, and manufacturing trials.
• Lead capital projects related to mixers, processing equipment, material handling, automation, utilities, and manufacturing capacity from scope development through startup and commissioning.
• Partner with Maintenance to improve preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability for mixers and critical process equipment.
• Analyze manufacturing data and implement sustainable solutions that improve performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
