Job summary

Great Dane LLC is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, implement and maintain manufacturing processes on the shop floor. You will work with Corporate Manufacturing Engineering to execute new processes for product designs and equipment.

You will collaborate with operators, maintain work instructions, PFMEA, and control plans while supporting pilots and trials for new product designs. The role includes training and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical field.
• PFMEA and Control Plans knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read 2D blueprints and 3D models.
• Familiarity with drafting work instructions.
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, DraftSight, SolidWorks, CATIA).
• Strong communication and organizational skills; 10% travel.

Responsibilities

• Directly work with operators on the shop floor to solve day-to-day improvements.
• Assist Corporate Manufacturing Engineering and Senior Process Engineers on larger projects.
• Author and maintain shop floor work instructions.
• Maintain MES data in plants (work instructions, material consumption).
• Maintain PFMEAs under supervision of Senior Process Engineer; assist Quality with Control Plans.
• Participate in Root Cause–Corrective Action for defects in area.
• Serve as a liaison between Production Engineering and Operations.
• Assist in manufacturability studies for new products and processes.
• Purchase hand tools and small equipment for improvement projects.
• Design shop aids and small tooling for projects.
• Own the process and collaborate on pilots and trials for new designs.
• Train operators on new processes and process changes.
• Collaborate with Operations Supervisors to guide training.
• Other duties as assigned.
