Job summary

Great Dane seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to oversee development and implementation of capital projects and manufacturing processes at our Wayne, NE facilities. This role partners with Plant and Branch Operations to anticipate issues, plan projects, and drive process improvements across production lines.

As responsibilities grow from Level I to IV/V, the engineer coordinates tooling, cost reduction efforts, and vendor collaboration to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Proficient with MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Understanding of building and maintenance contracts including liability issues.
• Travel: Occasional.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates maintenance and repair services for plant locations.
• Follows manufacturer instructions and established procedures, requesting special services as needed.
• Conducts plant visits to assist with project planning, process improvement and to maintain company assets.
• Provides manufacturing engineering information to customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
