Job summary

Hyve Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to drive process development, PFMEA, and SOP creation on the production floor. You will lead root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and ensure seamless ECO/ECN management for server assembly and rack integration.

The role requires 4+ years of manufacturing experience, DFx knowledge, and strong problem-solving abilities. Travel to client sites may be required; candidate will work on-site in Reno, NV.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years in a manufacturing/industrial role.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset for continuous improvement.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and product development.
• Knowledge of DFx; PFMEA and Six Sigma desirable.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; travel flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on the production floor to resolve equipment or process issues.
• Create, validate, and document SOPs for manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain Process Flow Charts, PFMEA, and MPIs for server assembly and rack integration.
• Investigate and resolve production problems to maintain smooth operations.
• Manage ECO/ECN/MCO/PA/Deviation and ensure smooth live-line implementation.
• Provide production training in MPI areas.
• Manage BOMs and routing in SFCS systems; maintain the floor stock BOM.
• Oversee Shop Floor Control System maintenance.
• Lead FAI and sample-building phases to validate process capability.
• Analyze line defects and lead root-cause analysis to improve yield.
• Implement corrective actions for production quality issues.
• Lead DFM/DFA reviews for high-speed assembly viability.
• Oversee NPI to MP handover with validated process capability (Cpk).
• Drive root-cause investigations using 8D or 5-Why methodologies.
• Monitor FPY and reduce scrap and rework rates.
• Collaborate to set up test infrastructure and floormate improvements.
• Develop floor stock BOM and pursue Lean continuous improvement.
