Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in Moorestown, NJ, seeks a manufacturing professional to develop and refine assembly processes using Lean principles to boost efficiency and reduce cost.

You’ll write concise process instructions, align documentation with drawings, and collaborate across production, design engineering, procurement, and program management to solve challenges and drive quality improvements. A US citizenship and government security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Office and MES for process development.
• Ability to write concise, complete process instructions.
• Ability to collaborate across production, design engineering, procurement, program management and manufacturing.
• Experience with engineering drawings and models.
• Experience with large mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with fiber-optic assembly/manufacturing.
• Experience with large-scale material handling equipment and overhead cranes/lifts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine assembly processes using Lean Manufacturing to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
• Write concise, complete process instructions and production documentation aligned with engineering drawings and models.
• Collaborate with production, design engineering, procurement, program management, and manufacturing to address production challenges and propose solutions.
• Investigate production problems, evaluate materials, and modify processes or tooling to enhance quality.
• Design and assist in tooling development for welding, brazing, painting, and finishing operations.
• Operate and program automated equipment; use cranes, lifts, and hoists for assembly of large structures.
• Lead training for new processes, mentoring staff to drive cost reductions and quality improvements.
• Apply MES and MS Office to support process development and data analysis.
