Job summary

Fairfield Processing Corporation in St. Louis, MO seeks a Process Engineer to optimize ergonomics, workflows and work instructions. You’ll lead cross‑functional teams, analyze processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions aligned with company goals.

Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field and 4 years’ analytical experience are required; strong Excel, ERP familiarity and Lean/Six Sigma are essential. Shift rotation includes day, evening and night.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 4 years of strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and process mapping.
• Tools: must have very strong MS Excel analytics and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Some knowledge of NetSuite ERP manufacturing module, RF-Smart WMS, SQL, MS PowerBI a plus.
• Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Adaptable to change and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Measure and analyze existing manufacturing workflows, dependencies, bottlenecks, ergonomics, routings and work instructions to identify areas for improvement.
• Communicate with manufacturing team leads, supervisors, managers to optimize workflows and reduce costs.
• Implement approved strategies in work instructions, ERP routings and BOMs; coordinate rollout with teams.
• Participate in change management to ensure smooth transitions for new processes or technologies.
• Contribute to the manufacturing continuous improvement feedback loop and risk mitigation measures.
• Ensure processes comply with industry regulations, policies and standards.
• Identify risks with process changes and propose mitigations; communicate with stakeholders.
• Identify automation opportunities and build cost-justified business cases for leadership review.
• Plan process design, floor layout and staffing for new and seasonal SKUs, including pack-out requirements.
