Job summary

Tremco Construction Products Group is seeking a Process Engineer to join the plant team. The engineer will spend significant time on the floor, lead safety initiatives, and drive process improvements to ensure products meet customer specifications with high reliability.

The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, capital improvement planning, and collaboration with operators to maintain production flow and quality. ABET-accredited degree required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Controls Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Six months+ PLC, Mechanical, and/or Electrical troubleshooting experience or training preferred.
• Packaging experience or automation equipment preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.
• Understanding process variance and its impact on quality.
• Knowledge of applied statistics.
• Troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous improvement safety walks
• Lead the facility in partnership with shift supervisors
• Address safety issues and communicate resolutions
• Execute scheduled PHA's and JSA's
• Monitor area and remediate safety concerns
• Use DAKOTA software for compliance and EHS reporting
• Develop and execute standard work activities
• Maintain engineering boards and host GEMBA walks
• Improve productivity by eliminating non-value-added activities
• Apply engineering principles to reduce waste and improve quality
• Maximize equipment efficiency and product output
• Serve on the facility QIC
• Identify root causes and prevent recurrence of customer complaints
• Assist in operator training on quality-critical specs and parameters
• Troubleshoot equipment and assist in process design
