Job summary

Electroswitch seeks a hands-on Process Engineer to improve manufacturing and assembly processes at our Weymouth facility. You will troubleshoot production issues, enhance workflow and equipment performance, develop tooling and fixtures, and lead continuous-improvement projects.

You will support new-product introduction, create procedures and documentation for safe, efficient operations, and collaborate with operators, engineering, quality, and operations to drive productivity and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Hands-on experience supporting manufacturing or assembly operations.
• Experience applying Lean or Six Sigma methods to process-improvement projects.
• Ability to develop clear SOPs and technical documentation.
• Onsite work in Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Partner with production employees and leadership to resolve manufacturing issues and improve safety, quality, productivity, and workflow.
• Lead process-improvement projects from initial analysis through implementation and follow-up.
• Analyze manufacturing and assembly processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, quality concerns, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Design, develop, implement, and troubleshoot tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve processes and reduce variation.
• Conduct root-cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Perform time studies, line balancing, workflow analysis, and capacity reviews.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Support new-product introduction and design-for-manufacturability.
• Participate in Kaizen 5S PFMEA SPC DOE and other CI initiatives.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with equipment/tooling cost estimates and capital requests.
• Lead cross-functional projects and communicate progress and risks to stakeholders.
