Job summary

Southwire Company is seeking a Process Engineer to drive development, standardization, quality and continuous improvement of production processes. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include designing and improving processes, applying Lean/Six Sigma methods, creating SOPs, and guiding hourly staff through process changes while collaborating with IT and engineering teams on digital tool integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in Engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in process engineering.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve manufacturing or production processes to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout operations.
• Diagnose and resolve process-related problems to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma or other methodologies to drive cost reduction and efficiency gains.
• Create and maintain process flow diagrams, SOPs, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with design, quality, maintenance, and operations teams for seamless integration.
• Assist in scaling up and validating processes for new products or technologies.
• Ensure machinery and tools operate within specified parameters for optimal output.
• Provide technical guidance and training to hourly team members on process changes.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate digital tools.
