Job summary

Charter Manufacturing is seeking a Process Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience in the steel manufacturing industry. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve real-world challenges and improve production, quality, and maintenance processes.

The program runs full-time in the summer, based in Cleveland, OH, with May 2027 start. You’ll drive continuous improvement through data collection, process trials, and teamwork, while receiving mentorship and professional development

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Engineering or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Ability to succeed in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.

• Support rolling mill projects focused on improving production, quality, and maintenance processes.

About the Process Engineer Internship

Program Structure

• Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer
• Location: Cleveland, OH
• Start Date: May 2027
• Duration: Summer internship

What we're looking for

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Engineering or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred experience

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
