Job summary

Charter Manufacturing invites a Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering student to join our team for a full-time summer internship in Milwaukee, WI. You will gain hands-on experience updating plant layouts with AutoCAD 2026, and develop technical writing through Dozuki.

Eligible candidates are enrolled in a 4-year program with Sophomore status and a minimum 2.75 GPA, proficient in MS Office, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field with Sophomore level.
• GPA 2.75 or higher required.
• Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering projects and coordinate process improvement trials.
• Update plant layout drawings using AutoCAD 2026.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and work instructions using Dozuki.

About the Mechanical Engineer Internship

Gain hands‑on experience using AutoCAD 2026 to update plant layout drawings while developing technical writing and documentation skills using Dozuki.

Program Structure

• Schedule: full‑time (40 hours/week) during the summer
• Location: Milwaukee, WI
• Start Date: May 2027
• Duration: Summer internship

What we're looking for

• Enrollment in a four‑year degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Ability to succeed in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
