Job summary
LS Cable & System USA is seeking an engineer to develop and improve production methods for wire and cable products in North Carolina. You will work under supervision to investigate cost reduction opportunities and support machine, tooling, and process design.
The role requires engineering/technical schooling and hands-on experience, with collaboration across quality, production, and vendors to drive efficiency and safety in manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Engineering/technical degree required (Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical/Manufacturing).
- Four or more years of engineering/technical schooling; less than one year of experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with major engineering projects, independently handle less complex portions, or complete tasks as assigned.
- Perform engineering studies and investigations; design machines, tooling, and methods; improve processes and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with Quality Control, production supervision, vendors, and maintenance to improve manufacturing methods.
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities and analyze feasibility and alternatives.
- Plan production methods with Design Engineering for new or revised products.
- Prepare operating and process specifications and maintain records.
