GAF Materials Corp. is looking for a Process Engineer III to support the needs of their operating plants. This role is key in executing projects related to cost savings and improving plant capacity. You will work closely with R&D on new product development and conduct annual audits, making recommendations for improvement.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, with a focus on mineral processing. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability are essential for thriving in this role.
SUMMARY This position is responsible for supporting the needs of the operating plants and executing projects related to new product development, cost savings, and improvements in plant capacity and yield. The yield projects include improvement of existing processes and projects related to the development of byproducts. Additionally this position is responsible for conducting plant audits and is involved in the daily operational activities and needs for each plant area as it relates to assigned projects. The Process Engineer III also supports training and familiarization of new processes and procedures to SGI’s operating plants.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years industrial/manufacturing process engineering experience, preferably mineral processing.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without need for employer‑sponsored visa.
Office, travel, and outdoors/indoors within a Process Plant and Mine environment.
Travel: 30–50% domestically.
