Job summary

SGS is seeking a senior Process Engineer to lead engineering design for mineral and chemical processing facilities in the United States. You will manage project scopes, perform process modeling, equipment sizing, and layout reviews while coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in Mining or Process Engineering required.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101 (designation) required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for process engineering design for mineral and chemical plants.
• Oversee scoping through detailed engineering and execution of plans.
• Perform mineral/chemical process modeling for client projects.
• Design equipment sizing, layout reviews, and deliverables.
• Review other engineering deliverables and coordinates with stakeholders.
• Conduct Bias test analyses and determine results.
• Develop proposals including cost estimates and technical content.
• Manage projects from start to finish and make key decisions.

Job Description

• Responsible for process and design of all aspects of Process Engineering for Mineral and Chemical Process plants.
• Responsible for scoping through detailed engineering and execution of plans.
• Perform Process Modeling (Mineral and chemical plants) for client projects
• Process Engineering and Design, equipment sizing and selection, review of plant layout
• Review of other Engineering deliverables for a project and interpreting and discussing with relevant stakeholders
• Bias Test analysis and determination of Bias/non-Bias results
• Proposal Development which includes cost estimating, review of technical and commercial content
• Project Management of all aspects of projects from start to finish, making and decisions as appropriate

Qualifications

• B.S., M.S. or PhD in Metallurgical, Mineral Processing, Chemical, Materials, Environmental, Mechanical and Process Engineering related fields required.
• 10 years of experience in Mining or Process Engineering Required
• Registered Professional Engineer
• Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101 (designation)
