Job summary

Element Solutions’ MAES Electronics Solutions unit is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize operations with a strong SPC focus and a track record of improving first-pass yields and reducing costs.

You will work under the Engineering Manager, driving process improvements, validating batches, and training operators as you scale from pilot to full-scale manufacturing. The role includes cross-functional collaboration across Maintenance, Production and EHS teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
  • 5–8 years of related process engineering experience preferred.
  • Over 3 years in chemical synthesis, preferably in batch operation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor processes closely and oversee SPC related activities for critical processes.
  • Daily monitoring of production for quality, cycle time, EHS compliance, and consistency with documented work practices.
  • Determine root causes for out-of-control products and follow through with corrective actions.
  • Manage Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMR) and ensure timely closeout of reports and drive root cause, corrective action resolution and minimize repeat occurrences.
  • Write and modify Work Instructions for existing products.
  • Support the transition from pilot to full-scale manufacturing through process documentation, batch validation, and operator training.
  • Lead process engineering related Capital Projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process equipment related problems.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance/Production and follow proper Management of Change protocol on equipment repairs and process changes to ensure maximum process safety.
  • Function as secondary resource for Plant EHS Activities such as waste management shipment coordination, permit compliance monitoring, external and internal auditing, and EHS systems performance validation.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Production and oversee execution of equipment and instrumentation calibration program

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Process Engineer who's ready to dive into optimizing our operations! Under the guidance of our Engineering Manager, you'll be the go-to person for keeping our key products on point with Statistical Process Control. You'll bring your engineering skills to the table to boost first pass yields, streamline processes, and drive cost improvements. What will you be doing?

Who are You?
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering
  • 5 to 8 years related experience preferred in a process engineering role.
  • Over 3 years in chemical synthesis, preferably in batch operation.

  • Familiarity with P&ID's, basic process control, pumps, piping systems, control valves, mixers, solids handling and environmental control equipment.
