Job summary

Element Solutions Inc is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize operations through Statistical Process Control. You will monitor production quality, troubleshoot issues, and manage reports to ensure efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Daily monitoring of production for quality and consistency.
  • Monitor processes and oversee SPC related activities.
  • Determine root causes for product failures.
  • Prepare periodic statistical reports for customers.
  • Manage Nonconforming Material Reports.
  • Support QA on customer complaints.
  • Write and modify Work Instructions.
  • Troubleshoot process equipment related problems.
  • Collaborate on equipment repairs and process changes.
  • Coordinate equipment calibration program.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Process Engineer who’s ready to dive into optimizing our operations! As our Process Engineer you’ll be the go‑to person for keeping our key products on point with Statistical Process Control. You’ll bring your engineering skills to the table to boost first pass yields, streamline processes, and drive cost improvements. What will you be doing?
  • Daily monitoring of production for quality, cycle time, EHS compliance, and consistency with documented work practices
  • Monitor processes closely and oversee SPC related activities for critical processes
  • Determine root causes for out‑of‑control products as well as other product failures and follow through with corrective actions
  • Prepare periodic statistical reports to customers and ensure the timely submission of such reports
  • Manage Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMR) as assigned and ensure timely closeout of reports and drive root cause, corrective action resolution and minimize repeat common occurrence
  • Support QA on customer complaints related to batch manufacturing processes including work on Corrective Action Request (CAR)
  • Write and modify Work Instructions for existing products
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process equipment related problems
  • Collaborate with Maintenance/Production and follow proper Management of Change protocol on equipment repairs and process changes to ensure maximum process safety
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Production and oversee execution of equipment and instrumentation calibration program
Who are You?
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) (Masters Degree preferred) in Chemical Engineering from a four‑year college or university
  • 3+ years related experience preferred in a process engineering role
  • Effective level of exposure and training in Continuous Improvement Methodology, similar to the Green Belt as provided in Six Sigma

The typical base salary range for this position is between $81,470.00 and $122,206.00
