Job summary

Spectraforce is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer II in Heflin, Alabama to improve plant operations. You will work with Operations, Maintenance, Quality and Engineering to troubleshoot, optimize, and sustain processes that boost throughput, quality, and OEE.

Required is a Bachelor’s in an ABET-accredited program with 5+ years in manufacturing/industrial engineering, plus Lean/Six Sigma experience. This is a direct-hire, on-site role with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing/process/industrial engineering.
• Hands-on plant/operations experience and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen or similar CI methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and standardize processes to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and productivity.
• Troubleshoot process issues and identify root causes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce downtime, waste, defects, scrap, and variation.
• Use data and metrics to evaluate processes and measure improvements.
• Lead or support Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement process improvements affecting throughput and cycle time.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering.
• Support NPI, process validation, scale-up, and manufacturing readiness.
• Maintain process documentation and work instructions.
• Support equipment, automation, and process-monitoring initiatives.
• Evaluate performance and propose improvements based on data and analysis.
• Support cost-reduction and waste-reduction initiatives.
• Ensure processes meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Help establish sustainable improvements over time.
