Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3–5+ years in process engineering (biofuels/ethanol preferred) with PFD/P&ID development and plant optimization.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD and common process simulation packages (Aspen/ChemCAD).
• Meticulous attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication; ability to work independently after training.

Aufgaben

• Develop understanding of ICM processes and issue information to customers.
• Research to develop improved ethanol manufacturing processes including PFD/P&ID and equipment specs.
• Develop material and energy balances for new processes with some input from senior engineers.
• Assist in designing, planning layouts, and supporting customers in constructing and improving equipment for ethanol processing.
• Analyze procedures and equipment to reduce processing time and cost.
• Design processes for movement and storage of solids, liquids, gases.
• Plan measurement and control systems for ethanol plants based on data from labs, pilots, and industrial ops.
• Determine optimal unit operation arrangements balancing process needs, economy, safety, and operator effectiveness.
• Lead operations teams handling condensers, evaporators, pumps, columns, heat exchangers, etc., to achieve required changes.
• Perform tests and measurements across production stages to assess control of variables like temperature, density, and pressure.
• Apply chemical engineering principles to solve environmental problems.
