Job summary

Tillamook County Creamery Association in Decatur, IL, is seeking a Process Engineer II to lead recurring improvements across dairy production. You will partner with operations to implement durable solutions, drive throughput, reduce downtime, and support long-range site planning.

The role requires 4–7 years in a manufacturing/ process engineering setting, with knowledge of mass/energy balance, CIP, and 3-A/USDA sanitary design. Travel and cross-functional collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (engineering, food science, or related).
• 4–7 years of relevant process/ manufacturing engineering experience.
• Familiarity with USDA Dairy, 3-A sanitary design standards, and GMPs.

Responsibilities

• Structured Troubleshooting — applies rigorous methods across shifts to identify root causes.
• Root Cause Analysis & Data-Driven Continuous Improvement — uses downtime trends to drive gains.
• CIP & Sanitary Design — applies 3-A/USDA standards and drainability considerations.
• Mass & Energy Balance / Throughput Modeling — quantifies losses to inform planning.
• Process Control & Automation Literacy — develops fluency in control intent and interfaces.
