Job summary

PRL Industries is seeking a Process Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations across our foundry, machining, upgrade, and quality functions. This role blends technical problem solving with hands-on production floor activity in a highly specialized environment.

You will design rigs, analyze process parameters, and collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure high-quality castings and efficient processes. Strong emphasis on continuous improvement and new tech adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Materials Engineering or related field.
• Experience reading blueprints, drawings, and technical specs.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and with teams across departments.
• Effective verbal and written communication; comfortable on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical review and control of process parameters affecting quality.
• Design pattern rigging and develop shop travelers for casting patterns.
• Support foundry, machining, upgrade, and production operations through analysis.
• Conduct defect analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Maintain procedures, forms, and process documentation.
• Develop solid models and assist with casting and simulations.
• Support routing development and process flow optimization.
• Collaborate with production, quality, machining, and leadership to resolve issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement and new technology implementation.
