Job summary

Harrison Steel Castings Co. is seeking a Foundry Process Engineer on first shift to evaluate current work processes and develop strategies that boost productivity and efficiency. The role involves applying industrial engineering techniques, guiding teams in continuous improvements, and coordinating programs to reward productive ideas.

The incumbent will gather data, map processes, and work under established instructions to optimize casting operations and overall plant performance.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in engineering or related field required; bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and communication abilities; capable of organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Gathers information to evaluate current work processes, flow, time, costs, and duration.
Develops strategies and programs to improve productivity and efficiency.
Applies industrial engineering problem solving to evaluate improvements.
Instructs others in continuous process improvements and problem solving.
Develops and coordinates programs recognizing contributions to process improvement.
Facilitates employee teams to improve overall team results.
Follows job work instructions.
