Job summary

Wabash Castings LLC in Wabash, Indiana, seeks a Process Engineer who will bridge engineering, CAD, operations and quality on the foundry floor to turn designs into castings.

You’ll review gating and pattern designs, run MAGMASOFT simulations, troubleshoot defects, and lead scrap-reduction efforts with a hands-on, collaborative approach.

Expect active involvement in lean initiatives, RFQs, process development and daily MRB reviews to deliver reliable quality and cost improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 5+ years of foundry experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Review gating and pattern designs.
• Work with CAD on MAGMASOFT results and process improvements.
• Collaborate with foundry foremen on green sand and air-set jobs.
• Investigate casting defects and root causes.
• Lead efforts to reduce scrap on high-loss jobs.
• Participate in daily MRB reviews and corrective actions.
• Support new-job sampling and launch activities.
• Assist with RFQs, quoting, and process development.
• Develop and improve process sheets.
• Participate in lean manufacturing and cost-reduction initiatives.
