Job summary

Heartland Food Products Group, based in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical support for Manufacturing and Process systems. You will drive improvements in OEE and operational excellence while partnering with Quality and Engineering on cost-saving projects.

The role requires a BS in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical), 2–3 years of manufacturing experience, and 2+ years aseptic experience in a food-grade environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required (Mechanical or Chemical).
• 2-3 years of manufacturing experience.
• At least 2 years of Aseptic experience.
• Experience with projects preferred.
• Experience in a food-grade environment (FDA, GMP’s, HACCP) with high-speed packaging equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the industrial engineer supervisor to execute line improvements and manage the packaging area.
• Analyze production processes, schedules, methods and data to provide reports supporting future manufacturing requirements.
• Lead Technicians to reduce waste, improve process capability and OEE, and manage capacity as needed.
• Improve processes to reduce costs and defend quality to meet customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and safety programs; review costs and schedules for management decisions.
• Develop and implement SOPs for processes and ensure SOPs compliance.
