Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical engineering.
• Strong understanding of engineering concepts and approaches.
• Proven project management experience.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
• Experience developing and maintaining preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to troubleshoot process equipment and control systems.
• Experience directing mechanical, electrical, and HVAC contractors.
• Pumps knowledge (Blackmer, Viking, Gorman‑Rupp) is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead major projects in the Engineering department to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Evaluate processes by research, design, and observations from technicians.
• Develop manufacturing methods to meet product requirements.
• Improve workflow, space needs, and equipment layout for efficiency.
• Assure product and process quality through testing; analyze results.
• Provide cost and resource planning data for future needs.
• Review new procedures and assist in equipment qualification.
• Prepare product and process reports and trends analyses.
• Collaborate with quality to implement new products and procedures.
• Create and review PFDs and P&IDs for equipment.
• Support batch costing operations and cost reporting.
• Maintain safe operations and compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to maintain plant mechanical integrity.
• Oversee tools, equipment requirements, and procurement.
• Troubleshoot plant activities and guide changes with operations management.
• Interface with automation and validation teams and train engineers.
• Recommend capital projects to improve reliability and productivity.
• Coordinate with engineering on upcoming capital projects.
