Job summary

Malarkey Roofing Products is seeking a Process Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes for rubberized asphalt shingles, focusing on quality, cost, and efficiency while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

You will analyze operations, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with R&D, production teams, and vendors to implement scalable improvements and equipment upgrades. The role requires adaptability to shifts and outside-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; two years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Internal candidates may have five to ten years’ experience in lieu of degree.
• Ability to work with vendors, contractors, plant staff and corporate engineering to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Determine operations to produce products and develop processes to meet quality, cost and efficiency requirements.
• Troubleshoot production problems and take corrective action.
• Research and evaluate equipment upgrades for existing processes.
• Assist with training of key operators (Coaters and Laminators).
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance in all processes.
