Job summary

tesa is seeking a Process Engineer at its Sparta plant to optimise existing production processes and support start-up of new manufacturing equipment. The role emphasizes Safety, Quality and Productivity across dedicated lines.

You will create manufacturing instructions, run production trials with R&D, and drive continuous improvement through data analysis, DoE methods and SPC, coordinating with various functions to ensure compliant, efficient production.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related degree.
• At least 2 years of related experience in the last five to eight years.
• Willingness to travel to other locations (approx. 5%).
• Strong ability to evaluate complex data and draw conclusions.
• Experience with DoE methods and software preferred.
• MS Office proficiency, especially Excel; SAP experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement, train and maintain manufacturing instructions and process data collection for safe, quality-oriented production.
• Lead production trials with R&D and production.
• Initiate trials based on risk assessment for safety and quality.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase quality, efficiency and reduce waste.
• Develop and test new or improved equipment and process changes.
• Investigate quality deviations and document corrective actions (FMEA, 8D).
• Lead use of tools and methods to meet scientific standards.
• Perform SPC on equipment and analyze production data.
• Document process knowledge and support capital expenditure decisions.
• Collaborate with production, quality, scheduling, R&D and marketing.
