Job summary

Polymer Concepts Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes that improve quality, efficiency, safety, and cost performance across facilities.

You will support CNC machining, NPI, and continuous improvement while collaborating with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering in Orange, NJ. The role focuses on process development, problem solving, and delivering robust process documentation, CAPA, and leadership

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of progressive process engineering experience in manufacturing.
Experience supporting CNC machining operations and manufacturing process optimisation.
Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, validate, document, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, SOPs, and process documentation.
Analyze workflows and production data to improve productivity, throughput, quality, safety, and efficiency.
Provide hands-on engineering support for CNC machining operations including tooling selection, fixture design, and parameters.
Investigate manufacturing issues using structured problem-solving and implement CAPA.
Support NPI, process transfers, equipment installations, and manufacturing readiness activities.
Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives: 5S, Kaizen events, VSM, visual management, standardised work, waste reduction.
Conduct process capability studies, SPC analysis, PFMEA development, Control Plan creation, validation, and risk assessments.
Collaborate with Quality Engineering on nonconforming product and customer complaints using root cause analysis.
Evaluate equipment, tooling, and process technologies; recommend improvements to reduce costs.
Partner with cross-functional teams on ECI, startup activities, and continuous improvement.
Prepare technical reports, process metrics, and project updates for leadership.
Promote safe work practices and compliance with policies and standards.
