Job summary

The role requires a strong Chemical Engineering background, a 5+ year track record, and hands-on experience with PLC/DCS systems. Dayshift position with a focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline required.
• 5+ years of process engineering experience in chemical/manufacturing.
• Experience with PLC/DCS process control systems.
• Strong understanding of chemical processes, process controls, material balances, and manufacturing operations.
• Experience in chemical processing, polymers, coatings, materials, or related environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and improve chemical manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor process performance and identify opportunities to reduce waste, downtime, energy consumption, and operating costs.
• Analyze production data and process trends to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain process specifications, operating procedures, process documentation, and technical standards.
• Provide technical support to production and operations teams for process-related challenges.
• Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting of process deviations and recurring production issues.
• Support equipment modifications, process upgrades, and capital improvement projects.
• Assist with commissioning and start-up of new equipment and processes.
• Work with Quality and Operations teams to ensure processes consistently meet product specifications.
