Job summary

Clariant Corporation seeks a Process Engineer in Louisville, KY to support the Catalysts business unit by improving production performance, quality, and safety. The role partners with plant teams to troubleshoot issues, run experiments, and implement process improvements onsite.

Travel up to 10% is required, with most work conducted in the office and some time in the plant for testing. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering with 2+ years in production or process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • More than two years of relevant experience in production, process engineering, process improvement, or applicable research.
  • Knowledge of catalysts and their application in continuous processes.
  • Experience with energy supply or sustainability projects is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time, with up to 10% travel.

  • Provide technical support for production lines and troubleshoot process and product quality issues.
  • Monitor process performance and identify opportunities to improve throughput, reliability, and cost.
  • Plan and conduct plant experiments and process trials, analyze results, and recommend improvements.

  • Initiate and support process modifications through the Management of Change process.
  • Participate in risk assessments and implement actions to improve safety and environmental performance.
  • Investigate customer nonconformities and develop solutions to improve First Pass Quality.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, operating procedures, and training materials.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and track results using relevant performance indicators.
  • Support process improvements related to energy efficiency and sustainability.

Clariant is seeking a Process Engineer to support our Catalysts business unit by improving production performance, product quality, process efficiency, and safety. This role focuses on catalysts used in continuous processes, including applications supporting energy supply and sustainability projects. You will partner with plant teams to troubleshoot issues, conduct experiments, and implement process improvements. This is a full-time onsite position, primarily based in the office, with time in the plant for experimentation and testing. Travel is minimal, up to 10%.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • More than two years of relevant experience in production, process engineering, process improvement, or applicable research. Backgrounds in oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, or university research will be considered.

  • Knowledge of catalysts and their application in continuous processes is required; experience with energy supply or sustainability projects is a plus.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills, with proficiency in computer tools for process data analysis.

  • Ability to work onsite full-time, participate in plant experimentation and testing, and travel up to 10%.
