Job summary

Clariant is seeking an Environmental Engineer – Data & Compliance to support the Catalyst Business Unit at the Louisville, KY facility. You will strengthen environmental compliance, optimize data collection, and assist permitting, reporting, and risk-management across sites.

Collaborate with ESHA Manager and site leadership to build smarter compliance processes through technical expertise and data automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related STEM field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in environmental compliance, chemical manufacturing, or a related industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance programs within the chemical industry (including Title V preferred).
  • Experience with data management and reporting tools such as SAP, SQL, Oracle, Microsoft Power Platform, DREAM Reports, or ACTS.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the ESHA Manager to support key environmental, sustainability, and compliance priorities.
  • Support site leadership in maintaining environmental regulatory compliance and managing environmental risks.
  • Monitor changes in environmental regulations and assess their impact on regional operations.
  • Ensure routine environmental inspections, calculations, and compliance activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Prepare and submit required environmental reports and regulatory filings in a timely manner.
  • Develop and improve tools that automate environmental data collection, analysis, and compliance reporting.
  • Provide technical support for environmental permits, including obtaining and maintaining required permits.
  • Participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action reporting while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Clariant is currently looking for an Environmental Engineer – Data & Compliance to support the Catalyst Business Unit at facility in Louisville, KY.
