Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer in Riverdale, IA. The role focuses on capital project planning, AutoCAD design, and executing improvements to reliability and process control.

You will lead cross-functional teams, prepare estimates, and drive CI initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have 5+ years in process engineering, strong communication, and a PE certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' process engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with capital project planning, AutoCAD, and project estimation.
• Ability to lead and support cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of process control, equipment reliability, and operational excellence.
• Experience coordinating external vendors.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support cross-functional problem-solving teams and CI initiatives.
• Prepare project estimates, technical justifications, and implementation plans for capital investments.
• Utilize AutoCAD for design and development of engineering projects.
• Support and provide engineering expertise for capital improvement projects.
• Support process control, equipment reliability, and operational excellence across locations.
• Manage and coordinate external vendors supporting engineering services.
• Contribute to capital project planning and execution within time and budget.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with engineering trends to maintain a competitive edge.
