Job summary

Titeflex, a global leader in fluid and gas management, seeks an Engineering professional to implement new equipment and production processes to drive growth. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in Manufacturing/Production/Process Engineering in a wire and cable manufacturing environment.
• Or 10+ years in another manufacturing industry.
• Experience implementing safety and ergonomic improvement programs.
• Project management experience; PM certification preferred.
• Experience selecting, justifying, validating, implementing and commissioning new manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Ability and willingness to travel to other Smiths facilities for training and project support.
• Lean Manufacturing training or certification preferred.
• Six Sigma training or certification preferred.
• Strong communication across all levels and leadership responsibilities.
• Strong organizational skills and disciplined approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Implement new equipment, manufacturing technologies, and production processes to support growth and objectives.
• Develop, justify, and execute CAPEX projects including equipment selection, RFQ development, vendor evaluations, design reviews, validation, and commissioning.
• Develop manufacturing technologies and improve processes for tubing, hose and end fittings through analysis, evaluation, root cause investigation, and optimization.
• Establish equipment capability specifications and implement improved manufacturing methods.
• Lead safety, ergonomic, and risk-reduction initiatives to improve workplace safety.
• Manage projects focused on cost reduction, downtime reduction, quality improvement, and productivity enhancements.
• Audit manufacturing and quality control procedures and provide improvement recommendations.
• Train supervisors and operators on new equipment and processes.
• Maintain relationships with equipment suppliers and technology providers for emerging technologies and best practices.
• Provide leadership in diagnosing manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Drive scrap reduction through process improvements and material utilization strategies.
• Support continuous improvement programs in product quality, efficiency, process improvements, and cost reduction.
• Develop and maintain training documentation, work instructions, and process standards.
• Create machine-specific processing documentation and standards.
• Support operational excellence initiatives to achieve facility performance objectives.
