Job summary

Titeflex is seeking an engineer to lead the development of hose and coupling products from concept through production. You will collaborate with purchasing and manufacturing on materials and production issues, and provide technical sales support as needed. The role is hands-on, involving prototyping, testing, and direct engagement with customers to explore opportunities.

Qualified candidates have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, strong analytical skills, and at least three years in designing

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Strong mechanical inclination and hands-on design engineering.
• Proven experience applying analytical methods including modeling, simulations and control theories.
• Desire to learn and craft creative solutions to challenging problems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• At least three years’ experience in designing fabricated/assembled components.
• Strong understanding of material properties and failure modes.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development of hose and couplings from concept through design, validation and production hand-off.
• Collaborate with purchasing and manufacturing on materials and production issues.
• Provide technical assistance to customers through Sales.
• Hands-on prototyping, testing, and analysis of new products.
• Travel to customer applications to investigate opportunities, with project ownership.
• Use CAD to prepare drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Oversee manufacture, assembly and testing of developed products.
• Assess product failures from field and testing; devise test setups and analyze data.
• Interface with customers professionally in person and remotely.
