Job summary

PDS Inc. is seeking a senior Process Engineer to take automated and semi-automated production lines from install to dialed-in.

You will own process development, validate output against spec, and drive yield, quality, and throughput as lines ramp in Wilmington, MA. Responsibilities include dialing in the lines, building validation plans, establishing process capability, maintaining PFMEA and control plans, and leading DOE/Lean Six Sigma improvements on live production.

Qualifications

B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related engineering.
8+ years in process/manufacturing engineering in production settings.
Proven dial-in of lines from first build to qualified production.
Experience with automated or semi-automated lines and DOE/ SPC/MSA.
Hands-on PFMEA and control plans; structured problem solving (DMAIC, 5-Why, Fishbone, 8D).

Responsibilities

Dial in the lines: tune parameters, run build trials, bring output to spec.
Validate & qualify: build and run test plans; establish process capability; close gaps.
Hold the process: implement SPC and monitoring; keep each process in control.
Own risk & control: develop PFMEAs and control plans; prioritize improvements by risk.
Make it better: drive yield, quality, and cycle-time improvements using DOE, root-cause analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma.
Document it: own work instructions and process documentation so each line runs consistently.
