You will spend substantial time on the shop floor to analyze processes, reduce waste, and implement data-driven solutions with cross-functional teams.

Qualificações

Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Background in continuous improvement and manufacturing or process engineering.
Familiarity with DMAIC, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
Ability to translate complex manufacturing data into actionable solutions for the plant floor.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with leadership, technicians, and operators.
Hands-on floor approach to problem solving.

Create and maintain process specifications, standard work documents, and SOPs.
Track post-implementation metrics to ensure sustained improvements.

In this capacity, you will spearhead initiatives focused on optimizing processes and driving continuous improvement across a busy manufacturing landscape. Your primary responsibilities include:

Assess current tooling, workflows, and manufacturing methods to suggest impactful upgrades.
Assist with capital projects, equipment modifications, and process change trials.
Create and maintain comprehensive process specifications, standard work documents, and operating procedures.
Track post-implementation metrics to ensure that process improvements remain effective over time.
Foster a culture centered on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement principles.
Offer technical mentorship to junior staff and manufacturing personnel to build team expertise.
Prioritize workplace safety by ensuring all process changes support a secure environment for all employees.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Extensive background in continuous improvement, manufacturing, or process engineering within a production setting.
Comprehensive knowledge of process optimization, control, and general manufacturing principles.
Proven track record of success in boosting reliability, throughput, and quality while minimizing scrap.
Advanced proficiency in structured problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques.
Familiarity with methodologies such as DMAIC, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
Ability to translate complex manufacturing data into actionable solutions for the plant floor.
Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with leadership, technicians, and operators.
A hands‑on approach that prioritizes floor-level engagement over office-based management.
Background in process‑intensive environments like heat treatment, finishing, forming, or high-volume discrete manufacturing is highly desirable.
