TemperPack in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Process Engineer to participate in the full life cycle of innovative manufacturing processes and equipment. You will test, deploy, and continuously improve processes, collaborating with R&D and operations on product development, prototyping, installation, and testing, while providing safety leadership across projects.

You should have 1+ years of industrial process engineering experience, a BS in Engineering or related STEM field, and strong skills in SPC,

  • Train operations on SOPs and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Provide troubleshooting and on-call support as needed.

Role Summary:As a Process Engineer you will participate in the full life cycle of novel and innovative manufacturing processes and equipment. Your role will focus on testing, deployment and continuous improvement projects. You will also collaborate with the team on the invention, prototyping, development, installation, and testing of processes and mechanical systems. Our aspiration is to provide packaging solutions that customers and end-consumers feel great about using.Major Responsibilities:Experimental design and execution for process and formulation trialsData collection and analysisManufacturing support for process deployment or continuous improvement including night or weekend shifts if requiredWriting and editing SOPs and other process or equipment documentationTraining operations team members on SOPsCollaborate with operations and R&D on product development testingAbility to manage cross functional teams on improvement projectsRoot cause analysis and risk assessment of manufacturing processes and/or equipmentProvides commissioning support for new equipment and process changesConducts safety and risk assessments for proposed and current equipment and processesDemonstrate a continuous learning mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new types of tasks as the business growsProvide troubleshooting support to operations and maintenance in instances of upset conditions or machine failures.Participate in on-call Pager Duty system for night shift support.Experience and Education:1 + years industrial experience in Process EngineeringBS in Engineering (or related STEM field) or similar professional experience.Knowledge and Skills:Detail oriented with high sense of urgency and positive attitudeDevelopment and Application of Statistical Process Control for new processesProficient in interacting with SQL databasesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills and problem-solving skillsAble to stay on task with minimal supervisionAbility to learn new process and develop new skillsWorks well under pressure and able to meet deadlinesSelf-motivated to take initiative and able to function independentlyDemonstrated team player with the ability to work cross-functionallyStrong data analysis and interpretation skillsPhysical Requirements:Able to lift 40 pounds unassisted.Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasksAbility to work in hot and cold environmentsAble to correctly wear PPE for entire shiftsAble to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alertsCandidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent and ongoing basis.
