Job summary

Gabriel Group is seeking a Process Engineer with 2-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and drive continuous improvement across the operation.

The role will collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to identify constraints, eliminate waste, improve quality, increase throughput, and implement sustainable process improvements on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, process or industrial engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with operators, technicians, engineers, supervisors, and management.
  • Willingness to spend significant time on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase safety, quality, throughput, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Identify production bottlenecks, process constraints, excessive downtime, scrap, rework, and other sources of manufacturing waste.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis of production and process issues using tools like 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Pareto analysis, fault-tree analysis.
  • Develop and implement standardized processes, work instructions, and SOPs.
  • Establish and monitor process performance metrics (OEE, cycle time, yield, scrap, downtime, throughput, labor efficiency).
  • Perform time studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, and process capability studies.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, variation, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop process controls to improve product consistency and reduce variation.
  • Collaborate with Quality & Production to investigate defects, nonconformances, customer complaints, and corrective actions.
  • Support Test Pressing and Production troubleshooting; provide technical assistance to operators and technicians.
  • Participate in capital equipment projects including specs, vendor selection, installation, commissioning, startup.
  • Develop process documentation, flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans, and other manufacturing docs.
  • Assist with production capacity planning and identify capacity improvements.
  • Train manufacturing personnel on new processes, equipment, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure processes comply with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

Requirements
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and engineering principles.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience performing root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing data and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with operators, technicians, engineers, supervisors, and management.
  • Willingness to spend significant time on the manufacturing floor.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Power Automate/BI, ERP Software
  • Proficiency in scheduling & work prioritization
